About Sarah

I am a marine ecophysiologist with an interest in understanding the molecular, biochemical and physiological mechanisms that underlie an animal’s capacity to cope with environmental change.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at UC Davis developing phenomics tools to understand how environmental change can influence early development in marine species.

I completed my PhD in Animal Biology at UC Davis in Anne Todgham's lab in 2023. My PhD research focused on understanding how various elements of an organisms environment interact to shape physiological performance in intertidal mussels to hot days and heatwave events.

Prior to this, I completed my MSc in Biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada in Iain McGaw's lab and my BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology from the University of Plymouth, UK.
